- Clear the access lane to the tyre zone (no pallets, stock, vehicles).
- Confirm tyres are in the dedicated zone (not scattered across the yard).
- Separate tyres from general waste, liquids, and mixed debris.
- Keep stack heights stable and safe for handling.
- Ensure staff know who will coordinate if the driver needs guidance.
- If you have multiple tyre types, group them (where practical) for faster loading.
- Confirm site entry instructions (gate code, contact person, safe parking).
- Avoid peak customer times where possible.
- Do a quick final count estimate for your own records.
- Take one quick photo of the zone if it helps internal tracking.
Operational tip
If prep feels like “extra work,” your storage system is probably not stable. Fix the zone once, then prep becomes automatic.
